Stockholm!
We have had a great time so far exploring the city, celebrating the King's birthday (which was celebrated by firing canons which we thought was a terrorist attack), getting confused for Greek popstars and enjoying the local delicacies of deer and elk (sorry Santa!)...
Will write all about it when we get back to London tomorrow.
Miss you all!

Spring has sprung!
We then headed through Hyde Park corner down to Buckingham Palace. It was Liz's birthday the day before so there was still quite a few people around and security was on high alert.
And to continue our theme of funny shots of Wes and I outside the world's monuments - here we are in front of Big Ben!

Paris - Day 5
Our last day in Paris and the weather finally started to clear up - so we headed for a walk along the Seine and headed over to Notre Dame and Les Isles.
Paris - Day 4
That's right - we climbed the Eiffel Tower one step at a time... and the view from the top was certainly worth it!
After all that excersize we had worked up quite an appetite and just by chance stumbled across a divine French market where I was overwhelmed with the variety of cheeses and ate black pudding by accident...
All that cheese and baked pig guts didn't really fill us up so we decided to head back into St Germain for yet another romantic French dinner.

Paris - Day 3
We spent a few hours wandering the halls and taking in the sites and then decided to brave the unwashed masses and see the Mona Lisa. It was a special moment when we finally pushed past the Italian and Englsh tourists to see the old girl. Behind the 3 inches of bulletproof glass the painting was still beautiful.
When awe of the masterpiece had ended we took a long walk all the way over to the Notre Dame. It had started raining by then but the walk was still beautiful, past cafes and markets. The rain was getting heavier so we decided to wait it out at the hotel.
After the rain stopped we walked back to the Eiffel Tower to see the light show at dusk. it was amazing to say the least. Parked right outside was a bus that made us both stop and laugh, I think you'll be able to work out why.

Paris - Day 1 & 2
Early on Friday we decided to head out into town via the beautiful Jardin de Luxembourg where we tried out our French and ordered the first of many 'deux fromage sandwiches s'il vous plait' - our staple food forthe weekend. (Aussie translation: two cheese sangas thanks)
After strolling through the beautiful streets, drooling on the windows of the many patisseries and enjoying the views of the Seine we wondered over to the Eiffel Tower...
After taking a few happy snaps and thinking twice about lining up behind the other 100,000 tourists, we decided to tackle the tower another day and headed back to St Germain for a lovely romantic dinner...
