Damn!

Day two in Amsterdam and we were excited as we'd booked a 4 hour bike tour through the city and out into the countryside. I was mostly excited as this was a tour the girls couldn't fall asleep on!

We were joined by 3 more girlfriends of Marg and Jodie's; Claire (new to London), Sim (who lives in Amsterdam) and Georgie (who lives near us in London). So it was me and my harem of 5 girls for the rest of the trip... Sounds great, right???!

The tour was awesome, we got all the history of sex and drugs in Amsterdam and then rode out of town to see a real live windmill and cheesefarm (obviously this is why Marg was excited about the trip).

The crazy Dutch farmer that made cheese and clogs was a bit of a character, he could speak 20 languages and make a wooden clog in 1 minute (that's going to look good on any resume).

The bike tour then visited the famous (yet crap) Amsterdam Hilton where Yoko and John spent their honeymoon and took their famous in bed interviews. we then rode through a beautiful park and on to the city to finish off with a quite shandy.

After we dropped the bikes off we went for a walk in the sudden thunderstorm towards Anne Frank's house. Don't know who Anne Frank is? well you're probably a bloke then because all the girls were so bloody excited about this and and all I wanted to do was go to the Red Light District.

Anyway we had a 'great' time lining up for this house/museum for 2 hours.
After the 15 minute trip through the house it's self we all headed back to our hotels and got ready for dinner.

Dinner was at another beautiful little resturant right on a canal. We all got quite merry and ate fantastic food. Again, being 1 guy with 5 beautiful girls is really... fun. Na, it was a brilliant night and Sim showed us all the sights of Amsterdam the locals only usually see.

We had a great time and can't wait to go back (and see the bloody red light district!)

"I Like It Here in Amsterdam"

Marg Jody and I took the day off on Friday and flew over to Amsterdam. It's been pretty hot in Sunny London the past couple of weeks and we hoped it would be a bit cooler... Wrong. It was HOT and we had booked a room without airconditioning. After atempting a quick nap the girls had us upgrading to better rooms straight away.

We all decided that we would like to see the sights of beautiful Amsterdam by boat so we jumped on a canal cruise.

After a riviting cruise (where both girls fell asleep) we went for a walk. We were dodging bikes and looking for somewhere to eat. We found an amazing resturant by a canal and proceded to eat a massive meal.

We had a couple of bottles of wine and then went to check out the Amsterdam nightlife. We even ducked into a local coffee shop to sample some of the local flavors.

Catch ups and Celebrations!

This week was one of catching up with old chums. Jodie and I got to catch up with Gill who is over for a visit and Wes and I got to catch up with Kaz who is travelling around Europe for a few months.

On Thursday night we also met up with the flatmates to celebrate my recent promotion! Boo ya!

Heatwave!

It has reached a record 37 degrees in London today! That is the hottest day since 1911. Should make for an interesting game of softball this evening...

Wes in his infinite wisdom has also figured out how to put videos on our website..We are off to Amsterdam this weekend with Jodie and Georgie, so stay tuned for some very entertaining (if not a bit incriminating) videos!

Only 4 weeks till we are back in Australia for Jess wedding! Cant wait to catch up with everyone.

Red Hot Chilli Peppers

On Friday 14th We went to see the Red Hot Chilli Peppers with a bunch of mates from work and home.

it was hot (for England anyway) and Earl's Court was packed with 3 generations of RHCP fans. Dave was super excited, being the HUGE Chilli's fan that he is.

They played a great mix of songs, with everything from Give it away to Dani California. the light show was awesome and John was on fire randomly singing the Bee Gee's classic 'How Deep Is Your Love'. Anthony was looking a little Old and tired but the rest of the band were on fire. It's a shame the acoustics were so bad at Earls Court though, it was like the biggest School hall I've been in it was so echo-y.

Afterwards we all went to a nearby pub and downed a few bourbons. It was a GREAT night.

Getting Serious

As you can see from the images below things at softball are getting pretty serious now.

Shown here warming up you can see just what a well oiled machine we are (well... well beer-ed up anyway)

Oh yeah, we're mean. Noel and Pete must have terrified the other team.
(Zoom in on Noel's shirt, it's awesome)

This actually was a big game we were up against the former number ones of the competition News International, and it we needed the win to have a shot at the number 1 position.

Even though Coach Mus looks beaten we actually kicked butt! With some great pitching from Chris (who copped a nasty one in the head... durung warm up... because he couldn't catch) great fielding from Marg and Pete and big runs by all (including a Grand Slam from me... shameless I know) we beat the former Number 1s 24 to 7!
