Movember

Well it was fun whilst it lasted but the mo had to come off (work) but I thought it might be cool to show everyone what I did for Movember.

When Jodie saw the mo her descriptioon was "You look like a dirty criminal". Prety apt I thought.

Punk Rock Engagement

Steve and Genevieve had their Engagement party on Saturday and it was a great night.
Annabel came along and we all went to see Steve and his band '8 Year Old Mum' play at the Hope and Anchor the first place that U2 ever played live... apparently.

For some reason this was yet another Saturday with people singing karoke but at least this time it wasn't Margie singing ;)

Curry and Karaoke

On Friday night we had a curry in Brick Lane to welcome our new flatmate Mel. We stuffed ourselves with amazing food for a tenner - love it. On the way home we freaked out Bella by following the path of Jack the Ripper...

Then on Saturday night to celebrate Sarah's belated birthday, we went along to Lucky Voice in Soho. As you can see from these photos the girls were loving it - Damo and Fynn even belted out a few tunes.

Old Boys Club

Today I attended the ‘Pre-Ashes Lunch’ with Michael Vaughan at the CafĂ© Royal in London.

For anyone who knows about cricket (which is clearly not me...) this was the place to be on Wednesday afternoon.

It was a room full of pompous old school, balding men, who chuckled at jokes about the old days, drank too much and had a ‘jolly good time old chap.’

I was one of about 5 women out of about 300 men…

It was a pretty entertaining afternoon thanks to the many bottles of wine we polished off. I love my job.

Bournemouthe

On Saturday we jumped on a train at London Waterloo bound for Bournemouthe where we spent the day with Aunty Norma and Uncle David. They are visiting this neck of the woods on one leg of thier worldwide cruise.

After stuffing ourselves with seafood and wine (it is clearly a family trait..) we strolled along the foreshore sucking in that clean air before heading back to London...

A great day was had by all!
