The Headache's Almost Gone...

Marg's first birthday abroard went very well. We had a combined Birthday party for Marg and a leaving party for Kylie one of our flatmates.

It all started with a very civilised little gathering at the new place. All the flatmates were there (except Catherine who is on holidays with her folks for 2 weeks) Blaire, Kylie and Melinda. Jodes came with her flatmate Brooke and Fin rocked up as well. After a wine and some great snacks we headed for the number 14 bus to take us down to Putney and our dinner venue, the Boathouse.

The venue was fantastic, atop a beautiful old pub overlooking the Thames. Dinner was also fantastic and in no time we were all full of great food and lots of wine, this was of course no excuse not to eat dessert.
At the sound of all the staff singing happy birthday we turned around to see a massive cake covered in cream, strawberries and candles coming out of the kitchen. Marg was blushing and excited as they walked toward us only to be a little embarrassed when we realised it was one of the waitresses birthdays also and the staff were singing to her. Oops!
A much smaller cake arrived for Margie soon after and we all sang loudly. By this stage Mike had arrived along with some mates so we decided to have a quick Bailey's and head out.

As all the pubs in London close at 11 we headed back to Fulham to a little bar to enjoy another expensive drink and shout at each other over loud music. The night was a success and ended with Margie asleep on the couch with Fin, Kylie and I watching Red Dwarf until the wee hours.
