Day 2... WOW

So we are now in Bangkok Domestic Airport about to fly down to Koh Samui.

We LOVED Bangkok. At first it was all a bit much for us as we where ripped off by everyone.. but yesterday we went on a day tour and then headed out to the night markets which was amazing. Marg spent all her money within the first two stalls... but we had fun. We had dinner from a street vendor and for about $1.20 had the best Pad Thai we have ever had.

The tour was so much fun... apart from the fact that they forgot to pick us up from our hotel. We where waiting in the lobby for 1.5 hours and where getting pretty worried. We called the travel agent in Bangkok who said they would be there in 10 minutes as they where stuck in traffic (a usual storty for Bangkok). Anyway, this guy in a dodgy minivan picked us up and we met up with the rest of our group at the floating markets which was fabulous but chaotic. From there we went to the Bangkok Cobra Show (very educational - did you know a Cobra has two penises - well we have seen them both!) and then to the Elephant Zoo and Crocodile Wrestling Show.

We where about done with seeing so much animal cruetly by this stage, so then went to a Handicraft Market and a DIAMOND FACTORY!!!! (I swear to god I didnt even know it was on the tour!!!! - Marg) It was the largest Jewellry store in the world (they claim) and there was a lot of bling bling!!!! (A bit out of our budget unfortunatley)

Anywho... now we are off to a beautiful resort on the beach in Koh Samui for some relaxing in the sun for a couple of weeks. Life is sweet :)

Miss you all.

Marg and Wes
